Diet-To-Go Review

Moxxie Mathews offered to answer some questions for me about the diet meal delivery service she uses, Diet-To-Go. Here’s what she had to say:

Cindy: How convenient is the ordering process?

Moxxie: Ordering is super easy. The menus are all planned out by the week. The site tells you what week cycle they are on and you can view the menu online. You choose the type of diet plan you want, the number of meals per week you want and then it shows up at your door. The membership is automatic so you don’t have to worry about submitting a request by a certain time every week. You can even switch out entres online for only $.50 a meal.

Cindy: How would you rate the taste of the foods?

Moxxie: On a scale of 1 to 10 I give the food overall an 8.5. It’s pretty tasty and above all it’s fresh. Obviously I enjoy some meals more than others, but I have yet to turn my nose up at anything.  I’ve tried other programs in the past where everything is like pre-packaged space food and yes I lost the weight, but eating got really boring really quick. I don’t like to use a microwave so I really enjoy having a fresh meal that I can warm in the oven or eat cold without feeling like I live in a post apocolypic scenario.

Low Carb No Hassle!

Cindy: Does Diet-To-Go have a good selection?

Moxxie: The selection is fantastic!! Each week is already mapped out for you so you just follow the menu as you go. No repeats in a week, so there’s variety and you won’t get bored.

Cindy: Have you used any other similar services, and how does Diet-to-go compare?

Moxxie: I have used NutriSystem and Seatle Sutton in the past. I wouldn’t slam either, I guess it’s just what you’re looking for.  NutriSystem required some additional shopping whereas Diet-To-Go packs everything you need in your weekly kit, which is perfect for my lifestyle because I work and go to school full time.  Seatle Sutton is a great idea because the meals are fresh, but you have to place your order weekly and depending on the location that’s providing your meals, the quality of the produce can be less than desirable at times.

Cindy: Any other thoughts you have, or anything you’d like to see them do differently.

Moxxie: Diet-To-Go has provided me an extremely positive experience thus far. When I called to have a few weeks skipped for my plan, the customer service representative was amazingly friendly and helpful. The website is extremely easy to navigate.  The only thing that leaves me with any consideration is wondering to what extent the company pursues ecological packaging alternatives, but I would HIGHLY recommend this program to anyone who is just trying to get a solid handle on their food and doesn’t know where to start or thinks they’re too busy. Plus there’s tons of support through their website if you find yourself alone on your journey.

Thanks, Moxxie, for sharing your experiences with me, and good luck on your weight loss journey!

Moxxie made reference to fresh foods in our interview, but you should know that fresh food delivery with Diet-To-Go is only available in some locations. Most areas of the country will receive their meals frozen. Diet-To-Go offers traditional low-fat foods and vegetarian choices and two daily calorie levels, 1200 and 1600, so you can make the best choice for your nutrition and weight loss goals.
