About me, huh? Seems to me all the pertinent details are right up top there for everyone to see. What else can I add?
I guess for starters I’ll tell you that my goal with this site is to learn to live a happy, healthy lifestyle rather than the pizza eating, coffee drinking, sugar consuming, couch sitting life I’ve been living up till now. Not that those things are bad – we all need pizza sometimes – but there has to be a balance, right? That’s what I’m out to find.
I want to eat a candy bar once in a while without thinking of it as proof-positive that I’ll never lose weight and that being the case, I might as well have two. After all, healthy people sometimes indulge in chocolate! I’d also like to be able to take a day out to plant a garden without spending the next week propped in the recliner with ice packs on my knees and lower back. Oh, and it would be really nice if I could tie my shoes and breathe at the same time.
What I’m not about, and what you won’t see promoted here, are quick fix plans to lose weight fast. There are no quick fixes. It took me 43 years to get here, and there are no pills, cleansers, or magic berries that will make me skinny in a week. You will not find Google ads that promote these things, but you will find some other ads…
About Advertising
This is a personal site, but it’s not a freeloader. It has to pay its own way. One of the ways this site pays its bills is through advertising and affiliate sales. If you click on a link to a product for sale, and you buy that product, I receive a small commission. It does not effect the cost of the product at all, but if you prefer that I don’t get paid, then don’t click on the links you find here. Regardless of how you feel about advertising on blogs, I do hope you’ll read some articles, and maybe share your thoughts in the comments…
